THE ULTIMATE AT THE GREAT YORKSHIRE SHOWGROUND

As the show season progresses the Riding Clubs are really getting behind The Ultimate Showcase of Champions with members clamouring to qualify for the prestigious event.

With 76 Classes, 11 Championships, 4 Supreme Champions and 1 Ultimate Champion in 8 rings, a day of great competition will be had. There is also two superb sponsorships to the value of £2,000 to be won by a young show rider and show jumper to help ease the financial burden of competing.

There are many commercial opportunities for businesses to promote themselves through advertising, sponsorship and trade stands at the event, however space is limited so it will be on a first come, first served basis.

Qualifiers are reminded to send their entry tickets in no later than 25th July to be included in the programme. The final closing date will be Friday 5th August with absolutely no late entries after this date.

Club Secretaries need to have sent photos and profiles for the nominated sponsorship candidates no later than 25th July for inclusion in the programme.

We are currently being inundated with enquiries as to where people can go to qualify and a full list is available from the telephone numbers below.

With rosettes to all, champion sashes, trophies and donated prizes, no one will go home empty-handed. This is the first event in a roll-out plan of Ultimates that will add York Race Course and Bishop Burton College to the venue list for 2006.

Emma Verity, Showcase Media Manager says, "with afternoon entertainment from equestrian stunt riders, a horsebox to be won and demonstrations from a horse physiotherapist and horse whisperer plus the much loved Shire Horses, it will be a day for all ages, horsey or not.
